Booking, Cancellation & Refund Policy

At Shelf Candy Studio, we value your time, creativity, and investment in your brand. Our booking and refund policies are designed to establish clear expectations and ensure a smooth experience for everyone.

Please review the following terms before purchasing a consultation or booking a creative service.

1. Consultation Bookings

All Product Photography and Product Label Design consultations are $25 for a 30-minute session.

After purchasing a consultation, clients will receive an intake questionnaire and scheduling instructions via email within 48 hours.

Appointments are officially confirmed once a date and time have been agreed upon and confirmation has been provided by Shelf Candy Studio.

Purchasing a consultation does not guarantee acceptance of a future creative project.

2. Consultation Cancellations & Refunds

We understand that plans sometimes change!

  • 24 Hours or More: Consultations canceled at least 24 hours before the confirmed appointment are eligible for a full refund.
  • Less Than 24 Hours: Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the appointment are non-refundable, except where required by applicable law.
  • Completed Consultations: Consultation fees are non-refundable after the consultation has taken place.
  • Before Scheduling: If an appointment has not yet been scheduled, clients may request a full refund of their consultation fee.

If Shelf Candy Studio must cancel a consultation, clients will have the option to reschedule or receive a full refund.

Refunds will be issued to the original payment method. Processing times may vary depending on the payment provider.

3. Rescheduling Appointments

Clients may reschedule their consultation one time at no additional cost when at least 24 hours’ notice is provided.

Additional rescheduling requests may require a new consultation booking.

We understand that emergencies happen and may consider exceptional circumstances individually.

4. Late Arrivals & No-Shows

Please arrive on time for your scheduled consultation.

Clients arriving more than 10 minutes late without prior communication may have their appointment marked as a no-show.

No-show appointments are non-refundable, except where required by applicable law.

5. Consultation Fee Credit

Your $25 consultation fee will be credited toward your final service total if you decide to move forward with a Product Photography or Product Label Design project.

The consultation credit:

  • Applies toward the service discussed during your consultation.
  • Can only be applied once per booked project.
  • Cannot be exchanged for cash.
  • Cannot be transferred to another client without approval.
  • Is not available if the consultation fee has been refunded.

6. Creative Service Payments

Product Photography packages start at $175, and Product Label Design services start at $60.

Final project pricing depends on the approved scope of work, creative requirements, deliverables, and any additional services requested.

Clients will receive a project proposal or invoice outlining the total investment and applicable payment requirements.

Projects are not officially scheduled for production until the required initial payment and project approvals have been received.

7. Creative Project Cancellations & Refunds

Once a creative project has begun, refunds are evaluated based on the work completed and expenses incurred.

If a client cancels an active project:

  • Payment for services already performed remains due.
  • Approved, nonrecoverable expenses incurred specifically for the project may be deducted from any applicable refund.
  • Any remaining refundable balance will be determined according to the signed project agreement and applicable law.

Changes in personal preference after approving a creative direction do not automatically qualify for a refund.

If Shelf Candy Studio is unable to complete an agreed service, we will work toward an appropriate resolution, including a refund for undelivered services where required.

Nothing in this policy limits a client’s rights or remedies under applicable law.

8. Revisions & Final Deliverables

Each creative project includes the revisions and final deliverables specified in the approved service package or proposal.

Additional revisions, major design changes, or requests outside the original project scope may result in additional charges.

Clients are responsible for reviewing and approving final work.

Final digital files will be delivered through the agreed delivery method once all applicable balances have been paid.

Because our services produce customized creative work, completed services are not eligible for refunds solely because of a change in personal preference. This does not affect remedies for work that fails to meet the agreed requirements or rights provided by law.

9. Product Shipping & Returns

Shelf Candy Studio does not operate as a traditional retail store. Clients provide their own merchandise for photography services.

Clients are responsible for the costs of shipping products to and from our studio unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Merchandise returns, handling requirements, shipping-related responsibilities, and applicable storage arrangements are addressed separately in our Product Shipping, Handling & Return Policy.

Please review that policy before sending any products to our studio.
