Terms of Service

Shelf Candy Studio
Effective Date: October 22, 2026

Welcome to Shelf Candy Studio! We’re a creative studio specializing in professional product photography and custom product label design for businesses looking to elevate their brand’s visual presentation.

By purchasing a consultation, booking a creative service, or entering into a project agreement with Shelf Candy Studio, you agree to the applicable terms outlined below.

Please review these terms carefully before proceeding with our services.

1. Services Offered

Shelf Candy Studio provides the following creative services:

  • Product Photography: Professional product imagery, creative styling, and editing for commercial and marketing purposes.
  • Product Label Design: Custom product label designs created to complement a client’s branding, packaging, and product requirements.

Additional creative services may be offered through custom proposals.

Each project’s specific deliverables, pricing, timeline, and requirements will be outlined in the applicable service package, invoice, or written project agreement.

2. Consultations & Booking

All new creative projects begin with a 30-minute consultation.

Consultations are $25 and must be purchased before scheduling.

Following your purchase, you’ll receive an intake questionnaire and scheduling instructions within 48 hours.

Consultations allow us to discuss your creative vision, project requirements, expected timeline, and potential investment.

Your $25 consultation fee will be credited toward your booked creative service should you choose to move forward.

Purchasing a consultation does not guarantee project acceptance or availability for a specific date.

Consultation cancellations and rescheduling are governed by our Booking, Cancellation & Refund Policy.

3. Pricing & Payment Requirements

Product Photography packages start at $175, and Product Label Design services start at $60.

Final pricing is determined by the project’s scope, creative complexity, deliverables, and any additional requirements.

Clients will receive a written quote, proposal, or invoice before work begins.

Any required initial payment, payment schedule, and remaining balance will be communicated in writing.

Creative work will not begin until the required payment has been received, the project scope has been approved, and all necessary materials have been provided.

Shelf Candy Studio reserves the right to pause work when agreed payments are overdue.

Final deliverables may be withheld until the outstanding project balance has been paid.

Additional services or expenses will not be charged without prior client approval.

4. Client Responsibilities

To help ensure a smooth creative process, clients agree to provide accurate, complete, and timely information.

Depending on the service, this may include:

  • Business and brand information.
  • Logos, brand colors, fonts, and brand guidelines.
  • Product names, descriptions, and specifications.
  • Photography inspiration or creative references.
  • Label dimensions and required text.
  • Necessary physical products and packaging.
  • Timely feedback, revisions, and approvals.

Clients are responsible for ensuring they have the legal right to use and provide all submitted materials, including copyrighted artwork, logos, photographs, trademarks, and licensed fonts.

Delays in submitting necessary information may result in adjustments to the project timeline.

5. Product Photography Services

Product Photography services include the number of professionally edited images specified in the client’s selected package or approved proposal.

Our starting photography package includes five professionally edited images.

Photography projects may involve creative styling, backgrounds, props, product positioning, and lighting arrangements.

Shelf Candy Studio will make reasonable efforts to reflect the agreed creative direction. However, exact reproduction of inspiration images, lighting, colors, or compositions is not guaranteed.

Original RAW files, unedited photographs, and working files are not included unless expressly agreed upon in writing.

Clients must disclose any special product handling requirements before their products are shipped or photographed.

6. Client Products & Shipping Responsibilities

Clients booking remote Product Photography services may be required to ship their merchandise directly to Shelf Candy Studio.

Products must not be shipped without prior written approval.

Clients are responsible for:

  • Properly packaging and protecting their products.
  • Paying inbound and return shipping costs unless otherwise agreed.
  • Selecting appropriate shipping services.
  • Following carrier regulations and restrictions.
  • Providing shipment tracking information.
  • Disclosing fragile, hazardous, perishable, or temperature-sensitive merchandise.
  • Providing accurate product quantities and replacement values.

Shelf Candy Studio will exercise reasonable care when handling merchandise in its possession.

Normal photography may require product positioning, movement, or handling. Opening, using, altering, or consuming products beyond ordinary handling requires client authorization.

Shipping delays, loss, damage, returns, storage arrangements, and additional responsibilities are addressed in our separate Product Shipping, Handling & Return Policy.

Clients must review and acknowledge that policy before shipping merchandise.

Nothing in these terms waives Shelf Candy Studio’s legal responsibility for damage resulting from its own actionable conduct.

7. Product Label Design Services

Product Label Design services include the deliverables specified in the selected package or approved proposal.

Our starting label design service includes:

  • One custom label design concept.
  • Up to two rounds of revisions.
  • A print-ready final file.

Additional concepts, revisions, variations, and resizing requests may require additional fees.

Clients are responsible for providing accurate label information, including:

  • Product names and descriptions.
  • Ingredients and materials.
  • Net weights and measurements.
  • Usage instructions.
  • Safety information and warnings.
  • Manufacturer or distributor information.
  • Any legally required statements or disclosures.

Shelf Candy Studio provides creative design services, not legal or regulatory certification of product labels.

Clients are responsible for verifying their product labeling requirements and ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations, including FDA, FTC, or other agency requirements where relevant.

We recommend consulting a qualified professional when regulatory guidance is needed.

8. Label Printing & Production

Unless expressly included in a written agreement, Shelf Candy Studio provides digital label design files and does not manufacture or print physical labels.

Clients are responsible for selecting a printer, confirming label materials, and providing accurate printing specifications.

While we prepare final files according to the agreed requirements, we cannot guarantee the color accuracy, material compatibility, or production quality of third-party printers.

Clients should request physical proofs when appropriate before approving large print runs.

Shelf Candy Studio is responsible for correcting errors attributable to our failure to meet agreed design specifications. Errors resulting from inaccurate client-supplied information, approved content, or third-party printing processes are the responsibility of the applicable party.

9. Revisions & Creative Changes

Each service includes a specified number of revisions.

Revisions are adjustments to an existing design or approved creative direction.

Examples include changes to colors, typography, placement, layout details, or other elements within the agreed project scope.

Requests for entirely new concepts, substantial redesigns, additional photography, or other services beyond the original scope may require additional fees.

Any additional fees will be communicated and approved before extra work begins.

Clients are encouraged to provide clear, consolidated feedback to keep the creative process efficient.

10. Project Timelines & Delays

Estimated production timelines begin once:

  • The required payment has been received.
  • The project details have been approved.
  • All necessary materials have been submitted.
  • Photography products have arrived, if applicable.

Project timelines may change due to client-requested revisions, delayed responses, shipping problems, or circumstances outside our reasonable control.

Shelf Candy Studio will communicate material changes to the expected timeline.

Specific completion dates are guaranteed only when expressly agreed upon in writing.

11. Final Deliverables & Approval

Final files will be delivered electronically through the agreed delivery method.

Clients are responsible for reviewing delivered work and notifying us of missing files, technical issues, or discrepancies.

For label design, clients must verify spelling, measurements, required information, and other final details before approving the artwork for printing.

Corrections for errors attributable to Shelf Candy Studio’s failure to meet agreed specifications will be addressed appropriately.

Requests for new creative changes after final approval may be treated as additional work.

12. Copyright, Ownership & Usage Rights

Shelf Candy Studio retains copyright in original photography and design work it creates unless ownership is expressly transferred through a separate written agreement.

Upon receipt of full payment, clients receive a perpetual, worldwide license to use their approved final deliverables for their own business’s lawful commercial purposes, including:

  • Websites and online stores.
  • Social media platforms.
  • Digital and printed advertisements.
  • Product packaging.
  • Email marketing.
  • Promotional materials.

The license permits reasonable formatting and resizing for these intended uses.

Clients retain ownership of their pre-existing trademarks, brand identities, logos, and other materials they provide.

Unapproved concepts, source files, RAW photographs, and editable working files remain the property of Shelf Candy Studio unless separately agreed.

Clients may not resell creative deliverables as standalone stock images, templates, or graphic design assets, or license them to unrelated businesses without written authorization.

Third-party assets remain subject to their applicable licensing terms.

Any exclusive ownership transfer or additional rights must be agreed upon in writing.

13. Portfolio & Promotional Use

Shelf Candy Studio enjoys showcasing completed projects and celebrating the brands we work with.

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, we may display completed, publicly released projects on our website, portfolio, social media, and other promotional materials.

This may include finished photography, label designs, and approved behind-the-scenes content.

We will not intentionally publish unreleased client products, confidential launch details, or nonpublic business information without appropriate permission.

Clients who require confidentiality or restrictions on portfolio use should notify us in writing before their project begins.

14. Confidentiality

Shelf Candy Studio respects confidential information shared during the creative process.

We will use client-provided confidential business information for legitimate project-related purposes and will not knowingly disclose it to unrelated third parties without authorization, except where reasonably necessary to deliver the service or required by law.

Clients are likewise expected to respect confidential pricing proposals, proprietary processes, and nonpublic studio materials.

15. Creative Results & Business Performance

Our services are designed to help businesses improve their visual presentation.

However, Shelf Candy Studio does not guarantee:

  • Increased product sales.
  • Specific revenue results.
  • Higher website conversion rates.
  • Increased social media engagement.
  • Any particular business or marketing outcome.

Clients remain responsible for their business decisions, advertising claims, product quality, and customer relationships.

16. Liability & Client-Supplied Materials

Shelf Candy Studio will perform agreed services with reasonable care and professionalism.

Clients are responsible for the accuracy, safety, legality, and regulatory compliance of the products and information they provide.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, clients are responsible for third-party claims arising from materials they provide without the necessary rights or from inaccurate or unlawful product claims supplied by them, except to the extent Shelf Candy Studio’s own legally actionable conduct contributes to the claim.

Neither party is responsible for obligations expressly assigned to the other party unless its own conduct creates independent legal responsibility.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.

17. Project Cancellations & Refunds

Clients may request cancellation of a creative project by contacting Shelf Candy Studio in writing.

If a project is canceled after work has begun, charges may apply for completed work and approved, nonrecoverable project expenses.

Any remaining refund will be determined according to the signed project agreement, our Booking, Cancellation & Refund Policy, and applicable law.

Shelf Candy Studio may decline or discontinue a project involving unlawful requests, unsafe products, unauthorized materials, nonpayment, or substantial violations of these terms.

When a project is discontinued, applicable refunds and outstanding obligations will be assessed based on the work performed, expenses incurred, and legal requirements.

18. Changes to These Terms

Shelf Candy Studio may update these Terms of Service periodically.

Updated terms will be published on our website with a revised effective date.

Changes will not retroactively alter an existing signed project agreement unless both parties agree or applicable law requires otherwise.

19. Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, United States, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
